This is so very you. I'd have already started freaking out when he said he was leaving his phone at home unless he also said "but getting a cheap one at the airport and I'll call you from there."
It’s so funny you say that because only upon re-reading did it occur to me that another narrator would highlight the missing phone aspect rather than have it as a sidebar lol. You know me well :)
Thank you, Kathy. That's a lovely story. Such a happy ending. I love the quiet persistence. I'm smack up against wondering after all these years if I want to publish what I've written after all. I thought I had a message, that persistence in finding oneself pays off, let alone finding a loved one, but now I'm not sure the details are fit for consumption. Maybe there's another way. I still write, but maybe I need to write more slant. Maybe the first thousand drafts were for me alone. Again, thanks for the story. I persist!
Polly, I appreciate your remarks but my name is Amy. There is also a Kathy Fish who is a writer so maybe you are thinking of her? Anyway yes, I believe your message is important and the world needs to read it - keep on keeping on!!

I am so ditzy. My brain was on autopilot. Of course you are Amy! Sorry about that. And thanks for the encouragement.
